Notes: A cherished long-flowering sativa from the Idukki district of Kerala in South India. This line was gifted to me years ago by a trusted friend with connections in India, and it represents the kind of tropical expression that first inspired my work with heirloom genetics.

This is a plant of tremendous vitality. It surges with energy through the vegetative phase, then settles into a broad, bush-formed structure capable of reaching an impressive size outdoors. Well adapted to demanding conditions, it handles hot, intense summers with ease and continues pushing forward long after many plants begin to fade.

Its long, vine-like branches make it especially responsive to training. It opens up beautifully, allowing you to guide the structure, bring light deep into the canopy, and shape the plant without stress.

The flowers are unmistakably true to their lineage—medium to heavy yields of resinous sativa blossoms with a deep, earthy-fruit bouquet. Aromas lean toward rich soil and sun-warmed vegetation, layered with notes of mango and fresh carrot that become more pronounced as she matures.

I’ve maintained this line through open pollination over the years to preserve its vitality, genetic diversity, and overall health. This approach keeps the spirit of the plant intact—resilient, expressive, and full of potential—while still allowing for careful selection toward reliable outdoor performance.

Here in Southern California (~34°N), she stretches deep into the late season, typically finishing between December and January. This is a true extended-cycle sativa, generally requiring 16–20 weeks to fully mature. Patience is required—but the reward is something special. The effect is clear, expansive, and powerfully energizing… well suited for movement, reflection, and long days under the sun.

As breeding stock, this Kerala line is incredibly valuable. It consistently passes on vigor, structural integrity, and that luminous, soaring sativa quality—making it a cornerstone for anyone working with tropical or long-season expressions.
